The BBAA Awards Gala Dinner will take place in the contemporary riverside setting of the Lowry Hotel in Manchester. This ever popular event attended by some 200 guests from the early stage investment industry offers the opportunity for those involved with the industry to share in the success and achievements of colleagues over the past year with the presentation of six Awards judged by an expert independent panel. BBAA Annual Conference – 14 July 2010
The BBAA’s Annual Conference will focus on the climate and opportunities for investing in innovating early stage business at this time of significant changes and developments. High level speakers from investment, business and government, interactive expert panels and case studies will review implications of the governments’ budgets and policies for business and early stage investing, new funding developments, sectoral opportunities and investment trends, the future for venture under the new government, as well as sharing experience among professionals on key topics such as valuation.
Guest speakers include: Simon Walker, Chief Executive BVCA; Prof Gordon Murray, Chair of Management University of Exeter; Matthew Mead, Head of NESTA Investments; John Ashcroft, ex-Chair Coloroll, now Chair pro-manchester. In the afternoon, a Government Minister for BIS will be setting out their strategy to support business growth and investment.
