The high profile BBAA Annual Awards Gala Dinner on the evening of 13 July 2010 will take place in the luxurious Grand Ballroom of the Lowry Hotel in Manchester. This ever popular black tie event, last year attended by over 180 guests from the early stage investment market, offers the opportunity for all of those connected with the industry to recognise and share in the success and achievements over the past year.
The event will begin with a champagne reception overlooking the river and will include a three course dinner and drinks as well as high level after dinner speakers. This occasion will also prove to be an exciting opportunity to meet and network with colleagues from the early stage investment community.
BBAA is delighted to announce that Julie Meyer, Founder of Entrepreneur Country, CEO of Ariadne Capital and Dragon on BBC's Dragon's Den Online, will be the headline speaker at the BBAA Awards Gala Dinner taking place at the 5* Lowry Hotel in Manchester.

This ever popular event will be attended by over 150 guests from the early stage investment industry. It offers the opportunity for those involved with the industry to share in the success and achievements of colleagues over the past year with the presentation of six Awards judged by an expert independent panel.
Guest speaker Simon Acland will also present witty and provocative tales from his latest book, Angels, Dragons and Vultures: How to tame your Investors...and not lose your company!
The BBAA Awards Ceremony highlights the importance of early stage Investment to the growth of SMEs in the UK, through celebrating the achievements of angel investors, venture capitalists and businesses that have made a significant contribution to the development of the early stage investment market and SME growth in the past year. Six prestigious awards will be presented and the BBAA will shortly be seeking nominations which will be judged by an expert panel. The Awards achieve high press coverage and the BBAA this year will be working hand in hand with national and trade journals to ensure that the event is widely publicised.
